what made me happy in July

Constant Sun We seem to have been blessed with constant warm, sunny weather this month. For the first time ever, I have got to "test-run" my holiday wardrobe in England before holiday. For most of the month, I've been outside sunbathing on the hammock with multiple glasses of chocolate milk. It has somehow inspired me to do a lot more reading too. I've finished two books in the last month (a record for me!) So yes, this constant sun has been something that really made me happy in July.

BST Hydepark on Sunday A.K.A  the Best Day Ever On 6th July, I was lucky enough to go to British summer time festival at Hyde Park. The sun was shining (for atleast 80% of the day); Mcbusted were headlining and there was free Ben and Jerries – so it was all good. I will do a full post on the day as I have far too much to say about it. But it was so fun to just have a laugh with my friends and enjoy such a nice happy atmosphere along with some pretty fab music too.
I PASSED MY DRIVING THEORY TEST!!I did my driving theory test. I didn’t tell anyone that I had it incase I failed. I was really scared before and honestly thought I would fail. But, somehow I didn’t. AND I did the best I’ve ever done (47/50) I am so happy and pleased with myself. Now, I’m one step closer to driving to the beach.
Augustus Waters in the film actually being like Augustus Waters was in my headI finally went to the cinema to see the Fault in Our Stars. After being a massive fan of the book, I was worried that the film would be a cliche soppy typical cancer film. I was skeptical incase it didn’t do John Green’s book justice and that is the main reason that I almost didn’t see the film at all. I just didn’t want it to ruin the book for me. I hope other people get what I mean about that and I don’t just sound strange. Also, I found it weird that  the guy who plays Augustus waters plays shailene woodley’s brother in Divergent. But, as soon as Augustus Waters came on the screen it was him. It was Augustus waters from my head. All of his little mannerisms, charm and charisma were spot on – exactly how I imagined. Ansel Elgort (the actor who played Augustus) made the film what it was and I am so pleased he was charming and lovable like John Green made him out to be.
Becoming a commuter for a week
For my work experience, I became a commuter for a week. I have always wanted to commute. I don't really no why but I just have. I got the 7.46 train to London, then the tube to Goodge Street. I read the Metro in the morning, the London Evening Standard on my return. I also managed to get in some chapters of my book. Whilst I enjoyed the idea of it, it wasn't as glamorous as I thought. Spending time crammed in with all the other sweaty commuters, fighting for personal space isn't as fun as I thought. But, that aside, it was still quite a fun experience.
Spontaneous Beach trip
My friends and I decided to jump on the train to Bournemouth. No prior planning, we just all had the day off work and college so we just went. It was so sunny and relaxing and perfect.
Family BBQ
For my brother's birthday we had a family BBQ. I miraculously managed to get the Saturday off work so that I could be there. We just ate so much food. And watching Granny attempt to get on the hammock with my 6 year old cousin was the funniest thing I've seen in a while. (The video is "You've been framed" worthy)
