A Fresh Start

I've sat staring at this screen for quite a few minutes now as I just really don't know what I want to say or how to start it. At the same time I feel like I should say something rather than just carrying on as usual because whilst this blog a space for me to appreciate good things, there are sometimes not so good things that don't get mentioned.

Disneyland Paris Haul

Hi everybody, as you may know if you regularly read my blog, which I hope you do (and if not subscribe by email or follow my bloglovin link in the sidebar), I recently went to Paris. This post just includes a few things that I bought from the Disneyland gift shops and boy do I love a gift shop. Firstly, I got the obligitary Minnie mouse ears which I just loved wearing everyday that I was in Disney and now I am sad that I can't wear them everyday.

June and July Favourites

I hope everybody has had a good month and I can't believe that it has gone so quickly and got to the part where I sit down and decide my favourite products from the past month. Sorry that I neglected the favourites tradition in June, I just honestly couldn't think of any products that were any different from the last months as I'd been wearing either no makeup or my very repetitive everyday makeup. I have however discovered/ re-discovered some products in the past few months, some new and some old, which I have been loving. I have been going for a more natural daily makeup look lately in an attempt to achieve the perfect "no makeup makeup" look for when I start my job in September. So without further ado (I feel so cool saying that) I'll just crack on with it...

A few days at Disneyland Paris

My love of Disney is still going strong at eighteen. I just think it's the place of dreams *cliche alert* but it really is. It reminds me of going there when I was little and shows me that I do still love the same things as I still gravitate towards the same rights - it's a Small World, Buzz Lightyear and Pirates of the Carribean I'm talking about you...

Disney Vlog

Yes you read that right and I am slightly terrified. But we kind of made a vlog in Disney, it wasn't planned at all we were just making silly videos on rides and my boyfriend made me so blame him if it's awful. Because it wasn't planned, it was filmed on my phone and is annoyingly the wrong way so has black bits on the sides of the screen but bare with it. I just hope it gives you an idea of our adventures in Disney...

A hectic month // Where I've Been...

So apologies for my absence. The first thing I should say is that I'm back to blogging now, I promise. I was just debating continuing with my June favourites but thought that I should just do a quick post to explain why I've been missing in action here lately. These aren't so much excuses as a life update, if you can really call it that seeing as nothing drastic has really happened. Some of you may know what I've been upto if you follow me on Instagram (shameless plug) @_ells__ GO FOLLOW. GO FOLLOW ;)

Obviously, I was studying hard in exam season which took up a lot more of my time than I care to admit. My last exam was on the 19th of June (which meant I just had to go out partying to celebrate the start of Summer) and I find it hard to believe that a whole month has passed since then - and it's been one crazy month.

In true jetset style, (well it is for me anyway) I've been abroad twice this month. First to Paris, with my boyfriend, for a few days and secondly to Corfu, with my family, for a week. In Paris, we spent the first day and night in central Paris, staying near Champ de Mars -which was SO close to the Eiffel Tower! Then we headed to Disneyland for the remaining two days of our stay. Whilst Corfu was a more relaxing '7 days lounging in the Sun reading magazines' kind of holiday. I won't go too much into these as I will be doing more posts on my adventures but I will say that I had such a good time and I want to go away again already...

Drugstore Skincare Saviours

It seems that everywhere I look, the skincare products that people praise are highend. I don't have that high a budget for skincare because although I recognise it as important, I would quite frankly rather spend my money on other things. Also, I'll admit that I'm not an expert in anyway on this issue and until recently, I didn't make much of an effort to look after my skin. But these are my first attempts at establishing some sort of skincare routine, from affordable drugstore products so I just thought I'd let you know what I think about these products and how they have improved my skin.
