Something about ells: A hectic month // Where I've Been...

So apologies for my absence. The first thing I should say is that I'm back to blogging now, I promise. I was just debating continuing with my June favourites but thought that I should just do a quick post to explain why I've been missing in action here lately. These aren't so much excuses as a life update, if you can really call it that seeing as nothing drastic has really happened. Obviously, I was studying hard in exam season which took up a lot more of my time than I care to admit. My last exam was on the 19th of June (which meant I just had to go out partying to celebrate the start of Summer) and I find it hard to believe that a whole month has passed since then - and it's been one crazy month.

In true jetset style, (well it is for me anyway) I've been abroad twice this month. First to Paris, with my boyfriend, for a few days and secondly to Corfu, with my family, for a week. In Paris, we spent the first day and night in central Paris, staying near Champ de Mars -which was SO close to the Eiffel Tower! Then we headed to Disneyland for the remaining two days of our stay. Whilst Corfu was a more relaxing '7 days lounging in the Sun reading magazines' kind of holiday. I won't go too much into these as I will be doing more posts on my adventures but I will say that I had such a good time and I want to go away again already...

I literally arrived back from Paris to head straight to my little brother's pre-prom before rushing off to my College Leavers in the same night. Yes, I did get completely ready in 10 minutes for a big event and yes I am proud of that. Hectic stuff. I wasn't going to mention the part where I had to come home from Leavers early because I was so tired from all the travelling - clearly the jetset lifestyle isn't for me.

Another highlight of my busy month was clearly seeing the Queen herself: TAYLOR (yes we are so close we are on first name terms..) My friends and I friggin love her, I mean who doesn't. Since seeing her at the O2 our Taylor obsession has escalated to quite alarming levels. We booked our 1989 World Tour tickets what feels like aaages ago and finally it came around. We saw her at BST Hydepark which was sooooo amazing. I mean shaking it off with Taylor, in a crowd of how ever many thousands with flashing wristbands which lit up when you shook theme - that's the dream.

This week, I got back from Corfu looking all Summery with my sunburn and freckles - seriously so surprised that I don't have ginger hair. I thought it would be a quiet week but I've been shopping, to the Zoo (which was the cutest thing ever and just reminded me of being a five year old being taken out for the day by my Grandparents - the good ol' days..) and oh yeah I bought a car!!!! *insert shocked monkey emoji* Now that I have a job and am staying home instead of going to uni - something which seems to have shocked everyone - I finally thought it was the right time to buy myself a car. So yes, I am now the proud owner of a beautiful red Fiat 500 named Freddie - something that I am still in disbelief about.

So that is the end of my hectic couple of months I hope. I can see a few weeks of boxsets and Netflix coming along especially now that I'm out of money after buying my car. I hope you guys have had a good Summer so far and can forgive me for my absence. Hopefully photos can help make up for it?
