It seems that everywhere I look, the skincare products that people praise are highend. I don't have that high a budget for skincare because although I recognise it as important, I would quite frankly rather spend my money on other things. Also, I'll admit that I'm not an expert in anyway on this issue and until recently, I didn't make much of an effort to look after my skin. But these are my first attempts at establishing some sort of skincare routine, from affordable drugstore products so I just thought I'd let you know what I think about these products and how they have improved my skin.
Then for two purchases that I made based purely on the packaging. The Good things manuka honey creamy cleanser and radiance face mask. Yes, the packaging is clearly pretty with all its lovely pretty swirls.. But the fact that it is made of 'good things' as the name suggests, also attracted me to the products as well as my love for honey. I don't think they are anything revolutionary compared to some cult skincare products but they haven't agitated my skin and just make it feel clean, which I guess is the soul purpose of a cleanser. Also, because it is creamy, it is quite moisturising as well which is a definite plus. I just apply this with a warm damp flannel to my face and I the new Soap and Glory face brush to gently exfoliate.
Now I love the Soap and Glory face brush and I think y'all girls who see those fancy electric face brushes but don't want to spend a load of money one, like me, should definitley go an buy one of these. I think it was around £6 from Boots and it was just such good value and it's just so great. And no, Soap and Glory aren't paying me, unfortunately, to preach about this. It means that you can exfoliate either more gently or a bit more harshly with the two different sides of the brush. Love it.
I hope this post hasn't been too wordy... I just want to try and explain and review the products a little for you incase you are looking for something similar.
